We all want to know “What WAS for Dinner?”

Connoisseur of computers, cuisine and cars. A 27-year resident of Metuchen, Larry Sclafani is much more than a dabbler when it comes to his passions. He runs his Technology company, LJS Tech Consulting, he posts his mouth-watering meals onto our Facebook foodie page, “Metuchen Meals,” and since before COVID was a member of the  Metuchen Chamber Cruise Nights Committee and the People’s Choice Award winner at last year’s Brainy Borough Chili Challenge.  

Asked how family, friends and clients would describe him, Larry amusingly indicated his laser focus to detail, almost to a fault in every aspect of his life and most especially in technology. As Chief Technology Officer of LJS Tech Consulting, his impressive CV includes a long professional high tech work experience including working for Omnicom’s Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy as the U.S. Director of Technology. And most recently as the Director of Technology for Spring Design Partners, Inc., another design and branding firm.

Larry and his wife, Kathy, live in town with their two college age children, Nina and Paul. He and his two sisters are Staten Island transplants who settled and raised their families right here in Metuchen. I’ve known his wife Kathy for years as my oldest daughter and his youngest went to school together. I’ve even known Larry’s sister, Fran, for years as her and my children went to Community Nursery School, where Fran is now the acting director. The Sclafani’s are most definitely part of the fabric of Metuchen. 
Larry’s been a busy guy, recently he created a presentation for the Metuchen Chamber’s Restart Series called: “Taking Control of Your Website”: An Introduction to Squarespace. Its objective is to assist businesses to get back on track during COVID times. After all those years commuting into NYC, it seems Larry has created a local name for himself with Chamber activities, Facebook postings and being the Tech Guru for hire. As we work and school more and more remotely, consider Larry for all your tech needs for home and business.
